What it does however, is that it helps to balance out hormonal output that's controlled by your Endocrine System. If you're overweight, you definitely DON'T have balanced hormones.

Doing these slow will help, but for real weight loss you need to go extremely fast. How fast, at least 1 every second on average. You can do this. It's not easy, but it's not totally hard either. Just go for 25 squats to start with... as fast as possible. Once you can easily do that, add another set. Keep adding sets until you're doing 6 sets of 25 squats.
You can do these 6 sets all together while resting 45 seconds between each set or spead them out throughout the day. Pick what works best for you.
