Breast lift involves lifting and reshaping the breasts and positioning the nipple/areola to the perfect location on the breast. In plastic surgery the term for this surgery is Mastopexy.
Patients may require breast lifts DC due to a variety of factors. These can often include being born with juggs that are droopy, torpedos that fall after important weight loss, and potentially most commonly, funbags that bend and drop off in size after a few kids. As a rule the breasts get more droopy and smaller with each pregnancy that the ma has. The medical term for drooping is ptosis.
The interesting news is that there are some wonderful procedures that will reverse these changes and create lovely boobs. This correction could involve merely a breast lift alone or a breast lift mixed with a boob enlargement.
Who are candidates? The patient alone can determine if their tits position or shape is a difficulty for them and would like to improve or change the general shape and contour. The degree of breast lifting can be reasonably minor or involve major re-contouring. The breast augmentation is generally done with a Mastopexy in order to make up for lost volume, in reality most girls who have lost volume (their boobs became smaller) opt to have their knockers enhanced to a size that could be bigger than the size they at first were, before they were pregnant.
Depending on the degree of breast bending there are a range of different breast lifting techniques that can be custom-made to what it is the patient's looking to realize and what their present breast shape requires. The lift could involve only cuts round the areola (this is known as a circumareolar Mastopexy). This works well for torpedos that need minimal lifting.
The most typical procedure that I perform involves an incision that goes round the areola and then straight down to the inframammary fold. Some call this a lollypop Mastopexy, as the incisions and scars seem like that of a lollypop (the actual name for this operation is a circumvertical Mastopexy). The Mastopexy that's important to correct the best degree of drooping is referred to as a full Mastopexy, which involves incisions around the areola, down to the inframammary fold, and then along the inframammary crease.
Obviously a seasoned Surgeon will use the most straightforward method that will permit the required improvements. In my practice, in which I have done over fourteen-hundred breast lifts, I am trying to find the surgery that will allow the best result with the absolute minimum amount of scars.
If breast enlargement is done at the exact same time, it is critical the boob enhancement be done first. This is because the degree of breast lifting and skin resection will be changed by the torpedos being made bigger. In addition, it's nearly very unlikely in most patients, to determine the right size of the implant for the breast augmentation, because of the fact the bazongas are drooping and don't exactly show the scale of the breast. This is down to the fact that the breast implant and the breast tissue are not in the same place.
